Enabling
Leaders

Boutique Consulting and Leadership Development Firm with a Focus on Sustainable Solutions

Oak tree

Quercus Consulting (/ˈkwɜːrkəs/; lat. “oak tree”)

is a Luxembourg-based boutique consulting and leadership development firm, enabling leaders by assisting them in their personal growth and providing tailored support on handling their daily challenges.

Be patient

Just as an oak takes decades to become a full-grown tree, leadership is something that grows slowly. Very few people are born leaders but rather grow into inspirational and visionary leaders over time.

Remain grounded

Leaders need strong roots that are built on personal values to withstand challenges and live through drawbacks that make them stronger, just as trees that withstand winds, rain showers, and hail.

Give back

Lastly, true leaders need to understand the importance of serving their personal and professional environment, similar to the oak tree that acts as the lung of our planet and thus contributes to the well-being of our society.

Our Leadership Philosophy

Inspirational Leadership starts with knowing and managing Yourself.

Only if you are aware of yourself and actively manage your own behaviour, you will be able to manage and lead others. We, therefore, support our clients with a holistic approach that covers four different dimensions of leadership:

Leading Yourself
Leading your Clients
Leading your Teams
Leading your Stakeholders

Rather than providing one-size-fits-all training, we believe in tailored programs supporting leaders in being their authentic selves, building on their personality, preferences, strengths, and passions.

WE ARE

Committed to provide Tailored Services to our Clients’ Needs and Context.

As we believe that different situations can rarely be solved with the same off-the-shelf solution, we start each engagement with investing in understanding our client’s environment and challenges.

Success Stories

"A partner with a deep understanding of my professional challenges who could contextualize the concrete actions to my personal and professional situation."

Pascal

Partner in a Professional Service Firm

I worked with Quercus in the context of a personal physiology assessment, objectively analyzing my levels of stress and recovery during 3 consecutive days. All organizations have now to deal with stress-induced issues (e.g., lack of engagement, burn-out, or other stress-related absenteeism) when they appear – which often leads to weeks or even months of absence, if not the resignation of our employees – and thus I thought I would proactively assess the impact that my personal workload has on my well-being in order to mitigate potential stress-related risks. Working in a highly demanding professional environment, I was aware that I put a heavy workload on my physical and mental health. I got however a real wake-up call when I saw the objective data in the Firstbeat Lifestyle Assessment report. For the first time, I had facts behind my feelings that I could not deny. A clear action plan with tangible remedies as well as regular follow-ups helped me to work in a much more sustainable way – coping significantly better with my external stressors that in our highly volatile and complex business environment I often cannot influence. It was helpful to have a partner throughout this assessment with whom I could share my personal information, fully trusting his confidentiality and a partner with a deep understanding of my professional challenges who could contextualize the concrete actions to my personal and professional situation.

"I have learned lessons that I still remember today and use on daily basis."

Zdenka

Strategy Consultant in Professional Service Firm

I met Paul at a corporate training, where I had the opportunity to observe him facilitating in both plenary as well as smaller group sessions. Paul has captured me with his honest and thoughtful approach tailored to each person in the training, showing vulnerability and being there 100% for the program participants. He has challenged us to think in ways we have not considered before and clearly broadened our horizons. Because of him, I have learned lessons that I still remember today and use on daily basis.

"Surprisingly different and unexpectedly memorable."

Nicolas

President of the Executive Committee of a German-wide Junior Enterprise Network

When Paul delivered his keynote speech on sustainable careers to 500 young professionals at one of our major conventions, many certainly expected another classic business presentation. However, with his stirring appeals and a unique pictorial language, Paul managed to arouse such enthusiasm and curiosity among the participants that hardly any other topics were discussed during the evening that followed. Even three years later, former participants of that event still regularly approach me referring to that speech. I would certainly look for opportunities to attend any one of Paul's keynotes again.

“To preserve the confidentiality of our clients, we have removed their last names. If you would like to work with us, we are happy to put you in touch with some of them to share their firsthand return on experience.”
